Getting help

Are you affected by drug or alcohol use, need support or treatment?

Kent drug services are here to help you.

What to expect when accessing treatment services.

The first step
If you feel that you or someone you know needs support or treatment for their drug or alcohol misuse then a good place to start is in your GP surgery, or call your local specialist drug service directly.

The majority of people engaging with services have self-referred for treatment.

If you haven't accessed treatment before in the last few months your first appointment will be to access the level of treatment you require.

What happens next
Once you have been assessed for treatment, you'll meet your keyworker. They may be a doctor, nurse or a drugs worker. Your keyworker will help you organise treatment, develop a personalised care plan with you, and be your first point of call throughout your treatment. You’ll see your keyworker for regular one-to-one sessions during your treatment.
